I vividly remember the images of Alexandra riding around the house in her little red cozy coupe car, her bangs hanging over her forehead with pony tails on each side of her head (her signature look), the look on her face when something would slip from her hands (there were plenty of slips :)), and the ever so funny episode of her hanging around at the cafe at the mall.
You see, I have had the pleasure of watching my niece, Alexandra, grow up right before my eyes. Watching her transition from playing with dolls and toys to moving on to make up and maybe a soon to be business entrepreneur. At only age 16, she has polished her talent of baking to design cakes and sweets right out of the shows of TLC and Food Channel. Her ambition and talent will take her places beyond her wildest imagination and I look forward to having the opportunity of experiencing them as I have done so for close to 16 years.
Tomorrow, our family will come together to celebrate Alexandra’s Sweet 16. New memories of Alexandra will be engraved into our memory bank for years to come.
